Ashley Prince, originally from Buena Vista, Virginia, is a distinguished soprano with a deep passion for solo and choral repertoire. She has built an impressive academic and professional career in music and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Southern Virginia University in May 2022. She completed her Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy at East Carolina University in May 2024. In addition to her performance career, Ashley dedicates time to her thriving piano and voice students.
Ashley's versatility as a performer was evident during her tenure at Southern Virginia University, where she was an alto in the regionally acclaimed Chamber Singers for four years. As a soloist, she captivated audiences with her renditions of Vivaldi's "Gloria" and the Kyrie from Haydn's "Lord Nelson Mass." Her opera workshop roles at SVU showcased her range, including Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Dorabella in Così fan tutte, Mallika in Lakmé, and even the horse in The Goose Girl.
Continuing her musical journey at East Carolina University, Ashley was a member of the award-winning East Carolina University Chamber Singers. Additionally, she performed with Wilmington Voices during their Spring 2023 concert series. Her diverse performance experience and commitment to vocal excellence highlight her as a notable soprano in the Washington, D.C., area.
