Violin

Courtney Daley began playing the violin at the age of four. When entering college, Courtney was not interested in making music a career at the time and earned a degree in History—while in College, Courtney joined the touring chamber orchestra at her college, New England Youth Ensemble, at Washington Adventist University. As a violinist of the ensemble, Courtney toured around the east coast, Jamaica, and South Africa.

While in Graduate school for Documentary Filmmaking, Courtney was asked to be a substitute for a former violin teacher. After that experience, Courtney decided to make music education her career. She received an Associate degree in violin performance from Montgomery College in 2017, where she studied with Pablo Saelzer and Dr. Jenifer Lee. After graduating from Montgomery College, she continued her studies with Dr. Lee and earned a degree in Music Education in 2020 at Washington Adventist University.

Courtney has worked as a music teacher and arts administrator for several schools and organizations. Her approach to teaching is for each student to become a lifelong music appreciator and someone who can use the transferable skills that musicians use (discipline, problem-solving, and teamwork) in other areas of their life.
